Monday (April 15th) is the deadline to file or get an extension on your taxes. I owed this year. :( Needless to say, I'm happy all the tax stuff is behind me (for this year, at least)! To celebrate Tax Day, here are some awesome freebies and deals!
March is National Frozen Food Month. I've always been confused on how long frozen foods are good in the freezer for.
Here's the answer:
Frozen dinners -- three to four months
Ground beef and turkey -- three months
Bacon, unopened -- one month
Roasts -- six to twelve months
Whole fish -- five to six months
Fish fillets -- four to five months
Shellfish -- four to six months
Whole chicken or turkey -- twelve months
Chicken or turkey pieces -- nine months
Cooked poultry -- four months
I'm not sure how they did it, but the American Kennel Club made a list of the most popular dog breeds in the Chicagoland area. My beagle, Jack, didn't make the list... did your dog?!
#5 spot (tied) – Boxers and Yorkshire Terriors
#4 – Golden Retrievers
#3 – Bulldogs
#2 – Labrador Retrievers
The #1 most popular dog in the Chicagoland area – German Shepards!
And, just for fun.... here is a cute picture of my 5 year old Beagle, Jack (a Lymphoma survivor!!). :)
Nowadays we can rent just about everything.... cars, homes, electronics, furniture, appliances, etc. Who knew that you can now also rent a fake internet girlfriend?!
It's all made possible by FakeInternetGirlfiend.com... a website that connects you with a fake girlfriend that will will post on your social networking page, text you, call you while you're in public and even leave a voice mail. Also, for a higher price, you can receive customized services.
The site is female owned and operated and promises that the fake girlfriends are actual women that will adopt whatever type of personality you're looking for (distant but loving, social and upbeat, quirky and misunderstood, etc.).
So how much will your fake girlfriend cost you? $250 per month (for a minimum of 3 months). Is $750 really worth it?!
