Leslie knew from an early age she wanted to work with music. She used to listen to her parents' old Monkees albums, dancing around and singing, pretending she was a rock star.
In high school, Leslie joined the 10 watt radio station, was on the air and helped to program the music. She then went to NIU for awhile, when one of her friends from the high school station suggest she check out the radio program at Columbia College in Chicago. Her first semester there, she got an internship at US 99, which quickly lead to an on-air position. But Leslie likes to rock, so please don't ever make her play country music again!
Leslie has also worked at WCKG, WLS, WFYR, The Blaze, Rock 103-5 and CD94.7. She quit working to travel with her family and to spend more time with her husband and kids. They lived in England for a year.
Now that her kids are in school, Leslie has gone back to work at 95.9 The River. She's been here since October of 2007. It's a perfect fit for her. She lives in the western suburbs with her husband, 2 kids and Katarina, the wonder cat. She works while her kids are in school, and actually gets paid to play the best music ever made, as well as keeping people up on all the interesting and bizarre stories that float across the internet every day.
