0 for 100. No One Makes a 43 Yard Field Goal in Goose Island Contest

While a few people came close, nobody had both the distance and accuracy to put the football over a chain-link fence and through a makeshift goal post in the middle of the street outside of the Goose Island Brewery yesterday.

The brewery offered anyone that made the 43-yeard attempt a prize of airfare, hotel and tickets to any regular-season NFL game next season. If any contest had made the attempt, he or she would have had a chance to break the NFL record with a 65-yard try… but they never even made it that far.

Instead, Goose Island announced plans to donate $20,000 to Lurie Children’s Hospital, which company officials said is Cody Parkey’s charity of choice.

I think that this was my favorite moment of the whole day. This guy was the first in line… stood there for hours… was SOOO sure of himself… all for this to happen.

Hilarious! What were your favorite attempts? Let me know in the comments below!
