30 Day Music Challenge - Day 15

So yay! Things are getting back to normal and I am back on at night and we can get back to the 30 Day Music Challenge… We have reached the half way point with Day 15 and this is a fun one. Tonight’s question is a song that is a cover by another artist? So I have strong opinions about cover songs. I was not a fan of Weezer’s cover of Africa and I will tell you why … it wasn’t bad … it was just the same. (yawn). I like to hear unique interpretations of songs. Like Alien Ant Farm’s cover of Smooth Criminal or anything Johnny Cash has covered – so super cool. Def Leppard recently did a great cover of Personal Jesus which is one of the songs Johnny Cash covered. They are both great versions – very different but equally cool.

So you may find the song I chose an interesting choice because … truth be told … it’s not that different from the original… it’s kind of Queen meets ELO maybe. I think I just went with this one because I have been so obsessed with the movie Bohemian Rhapsody and this my favorite Queen cover.
