30 Day Music Challenge - Day 17

So last nights 30 Day Music Challenge made my head hurt a little … but thanks for all the fab Classical Music recommendations for me to check out (including the theme from Star Wars!!) So tonight’s challenge is right up my alley. I honestly think duets are one of my favorite things. I love different voices blending. This is probably why I am such a big Fleetwood Mac fan. What a great combination those band members voices have. Of course my favorite without a doubt, my favorite voice of all is Stevie Nicks. So the duet I chose for this challenge has her amazing voice blended with one of my other favorite voices – this one being just as unique a voice as Stevie’s – I am of course talking about the amazing Mr. Tom Petty. However day 17’s challenge question is not just about the duet … it’s about your ability to sing it as well …. 30 Day Music Challenge – Day 17 question is … A song you would sing a duet with on karaoke. So it’s two-fold. A duet and one you can sing. Now honestly I don’t claim to be able to pull off a good Stevie impersonation … she is far too unique. But I can sing in her range … so the below song is my husband and my party trick. We haven’t actually performed it at a karaoke bar but my hubbie plays guitar so he just brings out his acoustic and it is always the first song we do when we are having a party and want our guests to join in with some singing around the fire pit. (Our poor neighbors have gotten use to our parties … they always involve a lot of singing and dancing on the patio.) So here you go….
