Today’s 30 Day Music Challenge is all about the vocals, because let’s face it … a voice can make or break many a tune.   Like for me the opposite of this would be a Bob Dylan, Lou Reed or quite frankly Smashing Pumpkins song.  They all wrote songs I love, but the vocals kind of ruin them a little in my opinion.  But back to our Day 28 question … A song by an artist with a voice that you love.

So… as I have been talking about all night … today is #InternationalWomensDay .  I think there is a good chance I would have chosen a women regardless because I love my rock queens!   I could have gone with Chrissie, Stevie, Pat or Aretha but I chose to go with Amy.  One of the most amazing things about Amy Winehouse’s voice is that her speaking voice is like nails on a chalkboard.   She barely formed complete words let alone complete sentences.  I think her shyness made her mumble but regardless you could barely understand her sometimes.   However when she sang, she formed every word beautifully and the depth and tone of her voice moved mountains.   It kind of reminds me of how often people who has issues with stuttering can speak perfectly when they sing.  Music is amazing.

Anyway on Day 28 of the 30 Day Music Challenge …A song by an artist with a voice that you love .. I give you Amy Winehouse/Back to Black   (enjoy the subtitles … not sure what they are all about LOL!)

Okay hop over to Facebook and tell me what voice rocks your world … a song by an artist with a voice that you love.
