Randy Meisner was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on March 8, 1946. When he was 22, he founded the group Poco. After a couple years, Randy left and joined Rick Nelson & The Stone Canyon Band.  Two more years passed, and it was 1971.

That was a very big year for him — the year he became an original member of the Eagles. Randy played bass and sang backing vocals for them until mid-1977.  You can hear his final contributions on  Life In The Fast Lane.

Randy went solo in the early 80’s and charted 3 hit songs.

The most popular of those was Hearts On Fire – it peaked at #19 in 1981.
