No, I wasn’t hiding out from our first real snow of the season yesterday. I actually took the day off to volunteer at my son Max’s pre-school Halloween party!

I had so much fun watching him interact with other kids his age, something I don’t get to do on a day-to-day basis. He dressed up as Gecko from PJ Masks. All the kids trick-or-treated in the school’s office wing, there was a parade of all the costumed students. It was a great to be able to interact with my son on a different level than we can do at home, and I look forward to more opportunities like that.

Fun little afternoon with Max and his class! Now time to mentally prepare…

After school, we went home and finished up preparations for our annual family Halloween party. We ate some chili, went trick-or-treating in the frigid cold for about 10 minutes dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz before heading back to hang out with our family.

As a matter of fact, I may be taking Halloween off every year! I hope you had a good one, and for those that get to head out today/Saturday, have fun!
