A Holiday MUST SEE: Beauty and the Beast at the Paramount!

Opening Night for Beauty and the Beast at Paramount Theatre in Aurora was this past weekend and I was truly blown away! I am always cautious going into a musical where they story line is very well known, but I had a feeling that we were in good hands with Amber Mak in the Director’s chair (she previously directed The Little Mermaid and Elf, which were both fantastic).

In a nutshell, I was totally blown away by the talent on the stage for this production and it had me feeling very nostalgic!

And the set is UNBELIEVABLE!

I loved seeing some familiar faces for Beauty and the Beast!  Paul-Jordan Jansen (AKA the Beast) has been previously seen as Sweeny Todd in Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz.

But it was also great to see some new faces. In fact, I think that Beth Stafford Laird (AKA Belle) was my favorite in the entire show. I couldn’t believe the power behind her voice and passion in her acting, not to mention the fact that she actually looks like Belle! I hope to see her return many many times!

Other new faces include Emmett O’Hanlon (Gaston), Nick Druzbankski (LeFou) and more.

Beauty and the Beast runs through January 19 at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora. Be sure to see it this holiday season with your friends/family! By the way, this show is absolutely for adults AND kids. Get your tickets HERE.
