A New Heinz Ketchup Machine Would Let You Blend Your Own Sauce

Remember when you were a kid and you’d mix all the sodas together to make “a suicide” . . . “swamp water” . . . or “a graveyard”?  Well, you might be able to do that with KETCHUP now.

Kraft Heinz has introduced a new machine that will let you create your own special sauce blend.  These things could pop up at restaurants, cafeterias, or stadiums, around where a soda machine might be.

Here’s how it works:  You pick a BASE, which includes stuff like:  Ketchup . . . Ranch . . . 57 Sauce . . . and BBQ Sauce.

Then you can add in flavor “enhancers,” like jalapeño . . . smoky chipotle . . . buffalo . . . and mango.  You can choose more than one, AND they can be added at low, medium, or high intensities.

The machine is called the Heinz Remix, and it’s just a prototype for now…but they’re hoping to start getting it into restaurants later this year.

CNN has more on it, if you want.
