A Night of Rockin' Bagpipes - Really!

Hi this is Leslie Harris. Many years ago I was in Edinburgh Scotland, and came upon some street performers. Well, they were actually performing in a shopping mall. It was a mixture of bagpipes and African drums, and it rocked. I had never seen anything like it.

After the performance, I asked them if they had any CDs. This was long before digital music files were available. Unfortunately they did not, however, we have a chance to see something similar tomorrow night in Naperville.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers are a Celtic rock band from Scotland, and they are the world’s most famous bagpipe band. They do cover versions of classic rock songs from bands like Queen, Deep Purple, Coldplay and AC/DC.

They’re performing tomorrow night, March 24th at North Central college’s Pfeiffer Hall. There will be bagpiping, there will be drumming, and there will be dancing!
