Another Offspring Tune Just Joined Spotify’s Billionaires Club
Break out the skateboards and chain wallets, because The Offspring just hit another massive milestone! Their 1998 classic “The Kids Aren’t Alright” has officially crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify, making it the latest entry into the streaming platform’s elite Billions Club.
This comes just a couple days after another 90s banger hit the same milestone!
This isn’t The Offspring’s first rodeo, though. Earlier this summer, “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” (2008) also joined the club, proving that these SoCal punks are still slinging earworms like it’s their job. And with the recent release of their new album, Supercharged, it’s clear they’re not slowing down anytime soon.
“The Kids Aren’t Alright” originally appeared on the band’s iconic 1998 album Americana—an album that was basically the soundtrack to every teen movie, car ride, and late-‘90s angst session. More than two decades later, the song’s mix of high-energy riffs and hard-hitting lyrics is still resonating with fans old and new.
So, here’s to The Offspring: proof that even after all these years, the kids may not be alright, but the music? Still absolutely killer.
