Arizona Lawmakers Declare Pornography A ‘Public Health Crisis’

The Arizona State Senate has voted to declare pornography to be a ‘public health crisis’, although it’s not clear what steps will be taken to address it.

The bill declares that porn “perpetuates a sexually toxic environment” responsible for “emotional, mental, and medical illnesses” and an inability to form intimate relationships. The bill also claims that more and more children are being exposed to pornography, leading to problems like eating disorders and low self-esteem.

The bill is a non-binding resolution and does not propose any concrete steps to curb porn usage.

Do you think pornography is responsible for some of the issues we face today?  Has the internet made it worse?
