Aurora’s got it goin’ on for Christmas!

Hey, Rich Dale here.  Now that it’s December, I can in good conscience talk about Christmas.

Right here in Aurora, there’s a place that does Christmas up right.  I’m talking about Blackberry Farm off Galena Blvd.  Their “regular” season goes from May through September.  During the warm months, they run a steam train, paddle boats, a carousel, a hay wagon, and pony rides.

But the fun doesn’t stop at the end of September.  Weekends in October are Pumpkin Weekends.  And during December, they become a prime destination for the holidays.  They call it Holiday Express.  The train runs and the lights shine!  Two weeks before Christmas, they open at 2 PM, so people can be there as night falls and watch as the lights begin to make a real impact.  And there is food available there, but you can totally bring your own too!

They also have a Special Needs Night where pre-registration is required and ticket sales are limited in order create a low-sensory environment.

Blackberry Farm is a place where families here in the burbs can experience the beauty of Christmas close to home!  Here’s a Beacon News article with more info about it:  http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/aurora-beacon-news/ct-abn-ent-blackberry-holiday-express-1122-20191114-ibvkakhdlnezpfz7otwk6r7o6e-story.html
