Autoshow Features David Bowie Tribute Concept Car

Japanese car designer Takumi Yamamoto unveiled a concept car in tribute to David Bowie at the Paris Autoshow.

Yamamoto told Reuters that Bowie was his childhood hero since the age of nine.  When he was studying to become a car designer at the age of 24 he came up with the idea for a car in tribute to Bowie.

Yamamoto wanted to collaborate with Bowie on the concept car but Bowie died before the car designer’s dream could become reality.

Yamamoto sees Bowie as a “chameleon” and hopes to convey the same idea with his car design.
