BA$EBALL I$ BACK!!

Well I think we’re all glad that baseball is back. Even if you’re not a fan it’s just that right of spring thing that makes us all feel warmer and closer to summer. The Cubs and Sox have both had their home openers and we’re off and running for the 2021 full baseball season. I was browsing some sites and came across a piece from February about baseballs highest paid players and another one looking back 20 years at the original Alex Rodriguez 10 year deal and where things have gone since then. Do you have any idea how much these guys make? The numbers are staggering and I was surprised by some of the names at the top. A-Rod has still earned more money than any another player in the past 20 years, but there’s some guys right on his heels. Trevor Bauer is now a Los Angeles Dodger. The top free-agent pitcher of the 2020-21 offseason, Bauer will make $40 million in ‘21, a salary that not only makes him MLB’s highest-paid player this year, but also sets a record for the highest single-year salary for any player in baseball history. Bauer will then earn an unprecedented $45 million in ‘22. Do check out both of the pieces I’ve got for you. They give an amazing amount of insight into the monies MLB is putting out for it’s top tier players.
