Beer Garden? How About Beer FOREST?!

I sincerely hope this becomes a thing, and that every forest preserve district follows suit.

Libertyville’s Independents Grove (part of the Lake County Forest Preserves) is home to a brand new beer garden! That’s right…a beer garden in a forest preserve! It’s located just to the north of South Bay. There are other family activities in the immediate area, including a children’s playground, boat marina, native garden, and starting on June 22nd, concerts at the Millennia Plaza.

And look at that tap list! All Lake County breweries! Gotta love that!

They also have packaged snakes…a hem…snacks on hand!

They are open:

Friday–Sunday from 1 pm to half-hour before sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Starting June 22, the Beer Garden will also be open Tuesday nights for Concerts in the Plaza.
Hours are weather contingent.
