Bonkers Ending to a Hoops Game With Me on the Call!

I usually handle play-by-play duties for the University of St. Francis football squad, but due to some circumstances, I was asked to fill in for a women’s hoops game against Olivet Nazarene in the semifinals of their conference tournament.

And boy, did I get a doozy!

These two teams have quite the history, and if you are interested, you can watch the pre-game. But this post is about the final 35 seconds. A crazy, one-handed over-the-head flip shop to tie the game. An offense-rebound put back to take the lead and a miss at the end on a would-be game winner.

By the end of this thing, my voice was a goner!

Thanks to ONU and USF for a fun game tonight. USF will be playing in the national championship tournament. ONU will likely be there as well. Good luck, ladies!
