Queen’s performance at the 1985 Live Aid concert was such an iconic moment for the band that it was chosen as the climactic scene for their movie Bohemian Rhapsody.  And Brian May says there’s a reason for that.

In the latest episode of Queen’s YouTube series The Greatest, May said they had an “unfair advantage” due to their experience playing at massive soccer stadiums.  He said frontman Freddie Mercury “learned this magical way of involving everybody“.

Drummer Roger Taylor said “I remember looking up and seeing the whole place just going completely bonkers in unison, and thinking, ‘Oh – this is going well!’”

The six-minute mini-documentary is up now on Queen’s official YouTube page. I HIGHLY suggest you spend some time going through these mini-docs. You’ll love what you learn about one of the greatest show bands of all time.
