A Tony-nominated actor with leading roles in Broadway shows including Waitress and A Bronx Tale has died after battling coronavirus.
Nick Cordero also starred in Bullets Over Broadway. He was 41 years old.
Cordero’s wife released a statement saying in part, “He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.”
Cordero had been dealing with complications from COVID-19 for the past 3 months, including a leg amputation.
Besides his big roles on Broadway, he also appeared in episodes of Blue Bloods, Law & Order: SVU and Lilyhammer.
