“Cards Against Humanity” Sues Elon Musk’s SpaceX
Bet that was a headline you weren’t expecting to read this morning! Yes, Elon Musk and SpaceX are being sued for trespassing by a card game!
The makers of the popular adult card game have filed a lawsuit accusing SpaceX of trespassing on their land in Texas. The suit claims that SpaceX left construction materials and debris on a plot of land it owns in Cameron County, TX, without permission.
They claim the property has been damaged and are asking for $15 million in damages.
You may be thinking to yourself, “Self, why does Cards Against Humanity own a plot of land in Texas?” Well, it was part of a 2017 stunt to buy land near the Texas-Mexico border to prevent the construction of then-President Trump’s border wall.
Actually, CAH has done a few hilarious publicity stunts in the past with a very left-leaning political twist, including one right here in the suburbs! Remember when they bought the naming right to the Joliet Slammers ballpark a few years back as part of their larger Cards Against Humanity Saves America promotion!? Oh, it was very much real!
Like their political statements or not, you have to admit they are creative!
