Hi this is Leslie Harris, and you may have read about the power of gratitude. I’m here to tell you it really worked.

Now for those of you who have not heard of the power of gratitude, I will explain simply, the more you focus on gratitude, so happy you’re likely to become, and the more you will find things to be grateful for.

Now, I’ve been through some rough times like most people, maybe everyone, and I know that sometimes gets really hard to find things to be grateful for. You may even think you have nothing to be grateful for, but I’m here to tell you, that you absolutely do.

For example, this morning I woke up, and I wanted to stay in bed, but then I changed my focus too, I’m so grateful for this warm comfortable bed. Today I am also grateful for a bright sunny morning, and that my two kids and my husband and I are all in pretty good health. I’m grateful for my job here at the river, and also for my other job. I’m really grateful that I’m finally feeling better after fighting a nasty cold for several weeks.

I went to a discussion about gratitude on Monday evening, and we all talked the effect of gratitude has had on our life. In fact, one of my friends, had been suffering from a deep depression, and brought herself out of it by forcing herself make a gratitude list every single day. So now I’m going to challenge you to do the same. Try it from now until Thanksgiving, And really focus on feeling grateful for each thing that you write down on your list. See if it has an effect on your life. I promise, if nothing else, you’ll start to feel happier.

If it doesn’t, you haven’t lost anything, but if it does, your life may change dramatically have you try using the power of gratitude? Let me know in the comments
