These kids are just awesome!

A group of teenagers from Chicago joined forces to build what they hope will be confirmed as the Largest Packaged Food Mosaic of a Flag, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

The design currently sits in the Wintrust Financial Corporation’s iconic Grand Banking Hall at 231 S. LaSalle St. It was constructed over the course of three days last week. They used 5,000 boxes of cereal: Corn Pops boxes for the yellow and Rice Krispies boxes for the blue.

What’s great is that the Kellogg’s corporation donated all the cereal boxes to fabricate the flag. Then, once world record status has been confirmed, the cereal will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

But wait! There’s more!

The kids also sold cereal box sponsorships, with money being donated to the people of Ukraine. Look how much they raised!
