Coke Trying Out “Paper Bottles”.
You know what they say “Things Go Better With Coke.” I’m a Coke Zero drinker myself, when I’m in that mood or with Myers and have been a Coke drinker for basically my whole life. Pepsi always seemed sweeter and not as refreshing, but hey that’s just me! I can remember the little bottles of Coke you’re get out of vending machines back in the day and of course now it comes in varieties of cans, plastic bottles and in some cases those glass bottles (little harder to find). But now of course the emphasis is on saving the planet. Waste, plastic, cans and yes bottles are all right at the top of the ecological hit list and rightly so. The Coca-Cola company is in the process of trying out paper bottles. Yes, you read right, paper bottles. The goal is to create a 100% recyclable, plastic-free bottle capable of preventing gas escaping from carbonated drinks. The prototype is made by a Danish company from an extra-strong paper shell that still contains a thin plastic liner. I’m not sure how the idea of a paper bottle will go over, but it’s certainly worth a shot.
