Coldplay Sets Record For Highest-Grossing Rock Tour
Coldplay’s current Music of the Spheres World Tour just became the highest-grossing rock tour of all time. It’s made $945.7 million and sold 8.8 million tickets since it kicked off in March of 2022.
Coldplay still has 21 shows scheduled, so they’re on track to become the FIRST rock band to have a BILLION-dollar-grossing tour with over 10 million tickets sold.
They probably won’t be able to surpass Taylor Swift, though. Her Eras Tour holds the record for the highest-grossing tour of all time. It’s expected to reach $2 BILLION in sales by the time it ends in December.
