ComEd Wants To Raise Rates.

Hi, it’s Leslie Harris and it was announced today that Commonwealth Edison wants to raise rates for Illinois customers.

Now the rate hike only amounts to about $2.20 per month per customer. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but, it adds up to $199 million.

The rate hike would start January 1st 2023. Fortunately, the Citizens Utility Board, who fights for Illinois consumers, is going to check into this rate hike.

The Citizens Utility Board, or CUB, is actually asking ComEd to give customers a fair refund, a lot more than the $21 million that has been proposed.
