Netflix is working on a new comedy series that’s set around the coronavirus outbreak.
The series, titled “Social Distance,” will showcase actors who are on quarantine in their homes.
Production on the show which is created by “Orange Is The New Black” creator Jenji Kohan will begin production in the next few weeks.
“We are challenging ourselves to do something new: To create and produce virtually so that our cast and crew can stay healthy and safe,” Kohan said in a statement. “We’ve been inspired to create an anthology series that tells stories about the current moment we are living through — the unique, personal, deeply human stories that illustrate how we are living apart, together.”
Kohan will also be the executive producer of the show, which will be directed and produced remotely. Shooting begins in a few weeks.
