Chris D’Elia is my favorite comedian, so I was really excited to see he had a show at the Chicago Theatre on 2/2… until I realized that I waited too long and the show sold out. 🙁
Thankfully, he had a show scheduled in Milwaukee the night before! Since I was going that way, I figured I’d make an adventure of it. So I made a few stops along the way!
STOP #1: THE BRAT STOP
It was my first time there! The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. I saw that they have some really fun events that they do throughout the year (the concerts mostly caught my attention) so I will definitely be back. I also picked up some Spotted Cow beer, of course!
STOP #2: SOUTHPORT MARINA IN KENOSHA
My grandpa always had big boats when I was a kid and we spent a lot of time “up north” on the boat. My grandpa was there so often and so helpful to everyone else there that he was known as the “Mayor of Southport Marina.” It was awesome to go back and visit the place that I spent many weekends at as a kid!
STOP #3: SCHLOTZSKY’S DELI
If you’v had Schlotzsky’s Deli, I don’t need to explain why the drive is worth it. They used to have locations around here, but they closed up a loooong time ago. So now the nearest locations are in Wisconsin. WORTH IT.
STOP #4: Chris D’Elia in Milwaukee
The show did NOT disappoint. To me, he is absolutely hilarious and I loved every minute of his show. I highly recommend that you see him live sometime… and definitely check out his Congratulations Podcast (WARNING: his podcast is very NSFW and sometimes contains graphic and very adult content. If you get offended easily, it’s not for you). He also has three specials on Netflix that are hilarious!
By the way, since he sold out his show at the Chicago Theatre on 2/1, he added a second show on 7/20 (sold out)… and then a THIRD show on 7/21 (my birthday… and I will be there for the show!!). Maybe I will see you there!
