Daylight Saving Time!

So it’s getting darker earlier and earlier. Now, when I come out of the station at a little before 7pm it’s dusk and getting darker. I know, I know the days are getting shorter, but what I’m not looking forward to is November 7th. That’s the day daylight saving time ends and we turn the clocks back an hour. You know fall back. Hey, that extra hour of sleep is over rated! I want an extra hour of sunlight! Here’s a couple of myths about daylight saving time: 1.  It’s daylight saving time, not daylight “savings” time. You are saving daylight, not savings daylight. 2.  Contrary to popular belief, daylight saving time was not invented for the benefit of farmers. Nor was it really invented by Benjamin Franklin, as some people believe. 3.  Parts of some or entire states, like Hawaii, don’t even change their clocks. Here are a couple of good informational pieces on daylight saving time so before you fall back, check them out.
