Did we See Our Last 90 Degree Temp of the Year?

I have no actual data to back this up, but I feel the last month or two has been pretty dang hot and humid around here. So when I saw this Tweet from the Joliet Weather Center over the weekend I got really excited!
Will it be? Could it be? Yes, today is more likely the last 90° day in Joliet for 2021. #ilwx pic.twitter.com/c0OjwHgK91

Now, I’m no meteorologist, but I like to pretend to be one on the radio. But, when it comes to making these prediction, I leave it to the experts!
The high in Joliet climbed all the way to 92° today, which is 17° above the norm. Unless something very unusual occurs, this was the last 90° day until 2022. Summer is certainly going out with a bang. #ilwx pic.twitter.com/UZTtqo7Roc

If Sunday was indeed the last 90 until 2022, I say good riddance! Fall weather can’t get here soon enough!
