Did you know Tomorrow we have another Royal Wedding?

Multi-shop panorama of Westminster Abbey, London in high season, taken from street.

Here ye … Here ye …. I have a Royal announcement to make.  An announcement that may not be getting quite as much attention as the one involving a certain Harry and Meghan but listen up …

On Friday Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are to be married at St. George’s Chapel, followed by a reception at Windsor Castle. (Actually the above picture is Westminster Abbey but it will have to do for this blog )  Princess Eugenie is of course Prince Andrew, the Queen’s second son’s daughter. Although it won’t be quite the star studded occasion of Will or Harry’s nuptials,  Ed Sheeran, George and Amal Clooney, Ellie Goulding, Victoria Beckham, and Elton John are all rumored to be invited.  Also there will be a performance by Andrea Bocelli and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (not too shabby). We don’t know much about Eugenie’s wedding gown, though the bride-to-be did reveal it was designed by a Brit. I  honestly don’t know an awful lot of the details of the wedding but I do know they have chosen a red velvet and chocolate cake which sounds delicious. I also did read one fun bit about the post reception gathering After the wedding ceremony, and an afternoon reception hosted by the Queen at Windsor Castle, the bride and groom will have an intimate evening reception at Royal Lodge, the York family home.

“After the more formal celebration [of Eugenie’s wedding] at Windsor Castle on Friday, the Saturday bash will be a relaxed party,” a source told the Sunday Times. “There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, bloody Marys for the hangovers and a festival vibe.” Well that sounds fun (and btw ‘dodgems’ are bumper cars)!    If you want to set your tv’s to record, the full ceremony will air exclusively on TLC in the States.  , TLC’s “broadcast, called Royal Wedding Live: Princess Eugenie, will begin at 4:25 a.m. EST on Friday, October 12, and the cable network will air an encore of the broadcast starting at 7:25 a.m. ET.” It will air on the west coast on a tape delay and will also be available to stream on the TLC website, with a cable login.
