Do you remember those family dinner conversations from your childhood? You’d talk about school, your friends, sports, etc. It was a very common practice for generations.

Sadly, it’s not so common anymore. A new survey of 2,500 parents revealed some surprising results.

According to the survey, a third of families sit in complete silence at mealtime. 40% of parents rarely eat meals at the same time as their kids. It seems many parents just don’t know what to talk about with their children.

On the positive side, a third of families surveyed are still talking around the dinner table. The most popular topics include weekend plans and school gossip.
