In this first-ever Chicago-based symposium, learn how to advocate for LGBTQ+ youth legal rights in school and beyond. We invite LGBTQ+ youth, parents, and allies to connect and network with legal, community and mental health resources.

Knowledgeable and dynamic experts will address issues specific to youth along with panel of parents, students and experts. Community organizations will be available to talk to participants one-on-one about their experiences with bullying, identification issues, or discrimination and provide valuable information about where to go for help. Keynote speakers include a transgender student who filed suit against their school district after being prohibited from using the boys’ restroom. Renowned New York City-based civil rights attorney will also speak about groundbreaking cases that have advanced equality. Viirtual attendance to this event is available.
