The Fox and the Turkey race

Presented by the Fox River Trail Runners- this year will be the 27th year of the Fox and the Turkey running races in downtown Batavia. Held on Thanksgiving morning this is a family friendly event featuring two races so that young & old can participate. The first race is the Youth Mile which kicks off at 7:30 for those ages 0 to 12 years old and is 1 mile long. Parents and grandparents are of course welcome to walk along with their young runner. The second race is the main event. Starting at 8:15am – a 4 mile course has runners winding through the west side of Batavia and back. Awards are presented for the top finishers.
This event is a fund raiser for the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. Money from each registration is donated to the pantry to help feed and cloth over 1,000 people each month in our local area.
