First, the Sears Tower…Now the last Sears store in Illinois is closing it’s doors.

The last Sears department store is set to shut its doors for good in the retailer’s home state of Illinois.  The shop, located in the Woodfield Mall, will close permanently on November 14th.  Sears Holdings filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October of 2018.  Sears was founded in Chicago in the 1890s, selling everything from toys to home goods to clothing and was once the nation’s largest retailer with thousands of stores spread out across the U.S.
