Foo Fighters Cover Tenacious D In Denver

Dave Grohl offered a tribute – literally – to Tenacious D during Saturday’s Foo Fighters show in Denver, CO.

In what seemed to be an improvided moment, he played a portion of “Tribute” – a song he played drums on for The D’s debut album in 2001.

Grohl only made it through the first verse before realizing he didn’t know the lyrics, joking “I only played the drums on that song”.

Tenacious D has found themselves in some trouble lately, canceling their summer tour and going on hiatus after Kyle Gass made a joke about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
