Getting Out Of Traffic

On December 29, 1967, Dave Mason left the British rock band, Traffic. He was an original member, along with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood. Dave would re-join and then quit two more times before Traffic finally disbanded in 1974.
Although Dave left Traffic, he stayed very busy. Over the years, Dave has played and recorded with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones. That’s an abbreviated list!
He joined Fleetwood Mac in 1993 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
Between 1970 and 1980, Dave Mason also managed to chart several hit singles as a solo artist. The biggest of those was We Just Disagree. It was a #12 hit in 1977.
