Hi, Rich Dale here! Last night I went out to Leyden Township to check out some late summer fireworks. They had cancelled them on the 4th due to COVID concerns.
Not only were the super excellent — these pics are really from the show — but I’ve discovered that what I really like about fireworks in August is that they can start about an hour earlier than they can on the 4th of July. We were leaving the park by 9:15!
Not that I mind staying out late, but it’s nice to have a bigger chunk of evening left after enjoying fireworks. Almost makes me jealous of the states that don’t do daylight saving time.
Too bad the founding fathers didn’t wait about another month and a half to sign the Declaration.
