HAPPY HOUR: Sign up Today to Shovel a Senior’s Driveway this Winter

If you have a strong back and a bit of time, the City of Aurora is looking for people to do some good in the neighborhoods!

Registration opens on Tuesday for Aurora’s Operation Senior Shovel!

If you know someone over the age of 60 (or someone with a disability or medical condition) and could use a hand shoveling their sidewalks and driveways, get them signed up! They only take the first 150 people who register, so make sure to do it as soon as you can on Tuesday!

Keep in mind that if the household has someone UNDER the age of 60 who is physically capable of shoveling, they can not qualify for the help. There’s only so many hands to do this work, and they must be allocated for the most needy.

Senior citizens, persons with disabilities, or designees can request assistance by applying online at www.aurora-il.org/SeniorShovel or by calling 630-256-3015 starting at 9:00 a.m.

If you would like to volunteer to do the shoveling, you can register NOW at www.AURORA-IL.ORG/SENIORSHOVEL
