Have a slice of π today!

Hey, it’s Rich Dale. Happy National Pi Day! Which probably doesn’t mean much to non math heads. I’ve always been pretty good at math, but never really like it that much.

And to tell the truth, I never really understood pi, or should I say π. (Yeah, I found out how to type that.) It’s supposed to be that the radius of a circle (the distance from the center to the outside) squared and that times pi is the circumference (the length all the way around the circle). But if it’s a decimal that never ends and never repeats, how does anyone figure it out?

I looked it up on the mighty Internet and here it is to 100 digits: 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993751058209749445923078164

Does that shed any light on it? Not for me! And it actually goes on forever!

So of course, the reason today is National Pi Day is because it’s 3.14, get it? Personally, I’ll stick to this kind of pi.
