How the “Plainfield Picnic” Hours and Street Closures Will Work This Weekend
With Phase 3 of the Governor’s reopening plan beginning, Plainfield restaurants are opening their outdoor seating areas to patrons this weekend!
In Downtown Plainfield, the Plainfield Picnic will allow participating restaurants to offer expanded outdoor dining on Lockport Street this weekend.
Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 – from 12-9 p.m.
It seems like the street closure hours are only in affect for this weekend.
Lockport Street will be closed (12 – 10 p.m.) from Illinois Street to Des Plaines Street and from Des Plaines Street to Fox River Street. The cross streets of Illinois, Des Plaines, and Fox River will remain open.
The alleyways from Des Plaines to Illinois will be designated as one-way to allow for curbside pickup.
For reservation and ordering information, please contact your favorite restaurant.
Open seating will not be offered and all parties will be required to see their targeted restaurant for seating to begin service. Alcohol can be consumed by seated patrons only. When waiting for a table, patrons are encouraged to shop in the newly reopened retail shops.
