Hi is Leslie Harris, and today is Record Store Day! Lots of releases from new artists, and lots of new releases from artists who’ve been around for a really long time.

I spent much of my youth at to Rolling Stone Records at the corner of Harlem and Irving in Norridge, and I also frequented places like the Flip Side, Peaches, and Coconuts.

In this day and age of digital music, My heart still beats a little faster when I hold that beautiful piece of vinyl in my hands. Try and get yourself to a record store today. Here is a list of participating stores in Illinois.
