“I Clocked You At 200 MPH”

Yesterday I got a chance to catch some great racing action in Joliet at Route 66 Raceway. The NHRA Nationals are in town this weekend, from Top Fuel Dragsters to Stock Eliminators and everything in between; there is plenty of racing action for everyone.

There are 352 entries in this year’s event and the winners will be announced after this morning’s finals. .

In Pro Stock Motorcycle action yesterday, Matt Smith would set a Route 66 MPH track record at 200MPH. Here is a photo of him in action. This run would not help Matt take over first place unfortunately, but hey second place is not bad either. I wish him well today in the finals.

 

It was my first time being at the races and I have to tell you the action is intense. If you are a fan of fast cars and everything that goes along with them, may I suggest you attend this event next year? I know I will be back!

Oh and one more thing….Make sure you bring your ear plugs cause its loud!!!!
