VIDEO: Illinois Couple Gets Engaged on ‘Ellen DeGeneres’ Show

A man from Champaign that saved a caged abandoned dog from from Kaufman Lake in central Illinois on Nov. 2 just made someone else’s day… on national television!

Bryant Fritz has been waiting to bring “Dory” (the dog he saved) home to live with him and his girlfriend, Krystal. Bryant announced during an appearance Wednesday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he’s finally about to get to bring the dog home!

After gifting the couple for their kindness with a wagon full of pet toys from her pet line, Ellen asked the couple, “Will you get married?”

Fritz responded, “So, Krystal really hates surprises, and I love surprising her.” He then said, “We had a dog named Ozzie that passed away a couple years ago and I had always planned on doing this with him, and I never really got the chance. And it just feels right now. Krystal, you are the most beautiful person I have ever met and I would like to ask you to be… Will you be the mother to our Dory, will you be my wife and will you marry me?”

There were smiles. There were tears and, in the end, Krystal said “Yes.” And, you knew it was coming… the couple was then rewarded $25,000!
