I bet Traffic Reporter Jan will be happy to hear this news! Burger King will start selling the plant-based Impossible Whopper for a limited time nationwide next week after it tested well in a few markets.
If you’re looking to compare an original Whopper to an Impossible Whopper, BK will offer delivery and mobile customers both sandwiches for $7 from next Thursday until September.
Impossible Foods, which makes the burgers for Burger King, White Castle and other chains, has actually been struggling to meet surging demand. They recently had to double their staff at their Oakland plant to produce a record number of burgers in June. However, even then, demand is still outpacing production!
By the way, BK says that the Impossible Whopper has a suggested retail price of $5.59. That’s 50 cents more than a regular Whopper and the same price as a Whopper with cheese.
Will you try the new BK Impossible Burger? I think I’d definitely be interested in comparing the two!
