Hey It’s Mitch….
So we’ve had a chilly end to 2017 and an even chiller start to 2018. The east coat has their bomb cyclone goin’ on right now and I just saw that the low over night tomorrow into Saturday morning is projected @ -8. Wind chills in the -20 to -30 range. Vehicles are always a challenge in this type of weather, but if we’re talking survival, your own gear, your protective outer clothing is key. I bought a Nautical Parka about 20 years ago (pictured at the top) and I’m happy to say it is still serving me well. One of the best features is the fur lined (foe fur) hood which is not only great as a head cover, but even as a high cover collar. It so keeps me toasty. Interesting piece I found that speaks to fur lined hoods and their effectiveness and also a survival article to help guide you through the drifts and wind chills and blizzard like conditions we still may face before Spring arrives in less than 75 days, but who’s counting!! If you’re in need of something a little more reassuring Daylight Savings time is back in less than 66 days! That’s lighter, later, longer!! How’s that??
