Is A New Tony Hawk Video Game In The Works?

It sounds like one of the greatest video game franchises of all time might be returning soon: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

There hasn’t been any kind of official announcement, but Tony Hawk himself confirmed this week that he was working on “something” with Activision, and that it was “something that fans will truly appreciate.”

Hawk said it was “insanely exciting” but couldn’t give any more details.

The last game in the series was the 2020 remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. The original came out in 1999, right in my prime video game playing days. I was never a skater kid, but I spent WAYYY too many hours playing this game than I’d care to admit. It’s the only reason I know names like Rune Glifburg, Bob Burnquist, Bucky Lasek (my personal favorite character), and Chad Muska.

Everytime I hear Guerilla Radio by Rage on The River it takes me right back to this game! Here’s hoping for a new version!
