Is It Cheaper Livin’ Somewhere Else? I Feel Like I’m Sinkin’ Like A Stone!

I don’t know about you but especially lately it’s getting really tough to cover all the price increases, taxes, tolls, extra charges and new expenses that seem to be popping up round here. I’ve spent the vast majority of my adult life here in the Chicagoland area after growing up in Cleveland and as Bob Dylan so apply put it

“Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.”
So what to do? Look for new place to live? Don’t want to retire yet, but Susie and I are looking around for when that day comes. Maybe this will help.

The lack of affordable homes has been a persistent problem in the housing market. In the first quarter, inventory rose 2.4% from a year earlier, according to the National Association of Realtors.
