Is This the Single Greatest Example of Sportsmanship Ever?
What an amazing act of sportsmanship showed on the Little League diamond yesterday.
Isiah is the player in the blue. As you can see in the video, he took an errant fastball right to the helmet in the first inning of that game. He went down, but was able to get up and walk to first. When that happened, the pitcher was visibly upset. His head was down, his hand on his head and he was crying…from guilt presumably.
Isiah tried to yell to the pitcher that he was OK, but the pitcher couldn’t console himself, so Isaih tosses his helmet down, walks to the mound, and hugs his opponent who had just beaned him in the head.
What a fantastic sports moment indeed! We can all learn from these kids.
How amazing to see this level of sportsmanship at that level of baseball.
