It feels like the 90’s died a little today….

Monday’s are usually pretty hard but today seemed harder than usual. I woke up to the sad news that we had lost Prodigy’s front man Keith Flint. You may or may not be familiar with the music of Prodigy but I assure you if you were in your twenties like I was during the 90’s and you went clubbing then you danced to Prodigy. This electronic band from Essex first emerged in the underground rave scene of the early 90’s but went on to break down doors and became one of the first electronic band to have chart success. They have sold an estimated 30 million records worldwide, and won numerous music awards during their career, including two Brit Awards for Best British Dance Act, three MTV Video Music Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards, and two Grammy Award nominations. They had some bigger hits but the below song was always my personal favorite. RIP Keith Flint.
Then later in the morning we got some more terrible news. We lost 90210 alum Luke Perry. The poor man had suffered what turned out to be a horrific stroke last week which sadly he did not recover from. Who of us could forget Dylan McKay taking his motorcycle helmet off in the opening credits. I swooned every week. I was definitely team Dylan … you have to like the bad boy. Luke Perry was a well liked actor who will be greatly missed.
Sadly Prodigy were going to tour this year and there were rumors of a 90210 re-boot. What a sad day.
